Czech and European Patent and Design Attorney

Professional Experience: Petra worked as a research scientist in Centre national de la recherche scientifique. After joining INVENTIA s.r.o., an IP consultancy and patent attorney private practice, she completed the Czech Industrial Property Education Institute in 2015 and passed the Czech Qualification Exam for Patent and Design Attorneys. In 2021 Petra passed the European Qualifying Examination and became European Patent Attorney.

Education: Petra graduated in chemistry from Faculty of Natural Science of Charles University in Prague. During her doctoral studies, she studied and worked at Technische Universiteit Delft in Netherlands, Université de Mons in Belgium, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland. Petra obtained her Ph.D. in 2006. In the same year she won the first prize in Prix de Chimie awarded by Rhodia in cooperation with French Embassy in Prague.

Other Activities: Petra regularly tutors about industrial property strategy basics at seminars for researchers of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. She completed the CEIPI Basic Training Course in European Patent Law i 2017 and now she shares her knowledge as tutor for the CEIPI Basic Training Course.
